What is Microneedling?
Microneedling is a great way to rejuvenate the skin when at-home skin care routines no longer work. At Brickell Cosmetic Center, we are happy to perform microneedling (collagen induction therapy) for our Miami Beach and Brickell, FL patients. Microneedling uses multiple fine needles to safely and effectively create micro-injuries in the skin. The micro-injuries prompt the natural production of elastin and collagen, two nutrients that enhance the overall health and appearance of your skin. Easily combined with other skin treatments, like vitamin serums or PRP (platelet-rich plasma), microneedling can help reduce scars, stretch marks, and pores. Schedule a consultation at Brickell Cosmetic Center in Miami, FL to discover more about the results of microneedling and ways to customize the procedure for your skin concerns and goals.

What Are the Benefits of Microneedling?
At Brickell Cosmetic Center, we provide microneedling for individuals who desire various advantages, such as:
- Low-risk, noninvasive treatment option
- Treatment of scars, dark spots, or stretch marks
- Improved feel and look of skin
- Reduced aesthetic of loose skin, lines, and symptoms of aging
What Can I Expect from Microneedling?
Microneedling is done in one of our office procedure rooms in around 30 – 60 minutes with numbing cream or local anesthesia if requested; however, most patients report little or no pain and discomfort. The skin being addressed will be cleaned before the handpiece is passed evenly over. After the microneedling is complete, a topical treatment, like PRP (platelet-rich plasma), may be applied so the nutrients can penetrate deeper into the skin. A moisturizer will be massaged in along with sun protection since your skin will be sensitive following the procedure. You might have some swelling and redness for a day, but this should fade quickly on its own. It can take about 1 – 2 months as the elastin and collagen levels increase before you see significant improvements in the appearance and health of your complexion. We suggest that you schedule about 4 – 6 maintenance sessions every 4 – 6 weeks for the best outcomes and long-term skin health. Microneedling FAQ
How much does microneedling cost?
During your initial consultation, a member of our team will analyze your skin and then develop your unique treatment plan. From there, they will discuss your treatment costs and the procedure process. Brickell Cosmetic Center often has discounts on skin treatment packages, so ask about current deals in your appointment.
What exactly is microneedling?
Collagen induction therapy or microneedling is a nonsurgical treatment to tighten and rejuvenate your skin. Collagen is a fibrous protein that helps your skin stay smooth, supple, and tight. As you get older, your natural supply of collagen is depleted, and your skin gets less elastic and thin. Microneedling creates small wounds in your skin. These micro-injuries cause your skin to increase its collagen production and generate new skin cell growth. Once healed, your skin appears healthier, firmer, and brighter.
Can I combine other treatments with microneedling?
During the process of microneedling, channels are made in your skin that make it easier for treatments to reach the deeper layers. That's why microneedling is commonly combined before other treatments, such as special serums or platelet-rich plasma (PRP). Microneedling with PRP has become known as the vampire facial. In your initial consultation, a team member can talk about which treatments may be performed along with microneedling and which can help your skin's health.
